verse 1 I know that among other things I've spent too long in factories I'm living little bit by bit And in this great big pile of shit We've found that we can still pretend to love each other as a trend but I'll say otherwise verse 2 I'm fixed on ruining your guise A softer price than gazing eyes No longer will I have to fret That this is something I'll regret And in this life we'll have to mend the broken words that I have penned but I'll say otherwise chorus And oh, we'll love we'll love And in our hearts we'll love, we'll love And somewhere down the road we'll be so proud we learned how to love verse 3 i'm losing more than sanity is this the final test for me and getting sick of playing games saves the day by faking claims together with a flame so hot that it burns more than all you bought but they'll say otherwise verse 4 in hipster form i'm gaining speed the rest we'll find a different breed this way I'll know that i'm for real and no longer need any seals but friends they say we're not yet done in about 5 months we'll start to run but they'll say otherwise chorus And oh, we'll love we'll love And in our hearts we'll love, we'll love And somewhere down the road we'll be so proud we learned how to love verse 5 I've drank myself to overdose on things we felt were too morose but i should take whats mine to keep and get myself some proper sleep this box of pens we never opened; broken hearts we left into dead ends bridge and i can't help but justify the lies i've held behind my eyes but in the end i'm still a liar no mistakes but we'll go higher this is how the story goes on and on and on, the rest you know chorus And oh, we'll love we'll love And in our hearts we'll love, we'll love And somewhere down the road we'll be so proud we learned how to love

about

jamsphere.com/newreleases/alas-the-ocean-learned-to-love-single-release

"Allen Rapadas and his Alas, The Ocean project is back with a brand new single, which is actually a 3-track download for all you fans.

As you probably already know, Alas, The Ocean, whose recent album release was reviewed here on Jamsphere just a couple of weeks ago, is a project by a young and upcoming folk artist who is fervently translating his personal and exploratory living experiences into music and words.

Allen is a young storyteller, rather like a modern day troubadour amongst a dying breed of contemporaries. His art and craft is based on the eloquent beauty of the poetic word set to a background of appropriate musical notes to communicate his perceptions and inner truths.
Unlike current, mass radio or pop chart fodder, which in most cases is exclusively based on beat, rhythms and borrowed sound loops, Alas, The Ocean produce simple, unembellished and unpretentious melodies.

Certainly the musical road chosen by Allen, is an arduous one for any young and ambitious artist seeking commercial success, amidst an era of Autotune, hiphop and electronic computer aided music.

However, the release of “Learned To Love”, proves that Alas, The Ocean is prepared to walk that road without compromising his musical integrity, in exchange for gaining what could be an easier path to commercial success.

The song is in the distinct Alas, The Ocean mold of acoustic guitar and piano driven rhythms. This time around however, a cracking drumbeat is added during choruses with a chunky electric guitar sprinkled in places, to liven things up.

If this all sounds like some kind of food recipe, it’s not.

It’s Alas,The Ocean’s own homemade musical recipe.

It’s original.
It’s genuine.
And it’s good.
